Task Force 5
The
LaGrange Fire District, in conjunction with the Arlington, City of Poughkeepsie,
Fairview, Hyde Park, New Hamburg and Roosevelt Fire Districts/Departments, has
entered into an agreement to form a task force of interior fire fighters,
available to assist, when needed, with an incident. The use of Task Force 5
is up to the discretion of the incident commander at the fire scene, with the
request being made to and dispatched by the 911 Call Center.
Some
of the guidelines:
- When dispatched, interior fire fighters ONLY are to report to Station 2
for the ride to the scene on 47-12. At NO time are personal vehicles to
be used to respond to the scene. If 47-12 is out of service, the alternate
engine will be 47-13 out of Station 3.
- The apparatus will respond to the scene with NO LESS than three
interior fire fighters on board, this can include the driver since the call is
for interior fire fighters only (and not the apparatus).
- Until there are at least three fire fighters available to respond, the fire
fighters already at the station will WAIT until there is a full crew,
under no circumstances is the dispatch center or the incident commander to be contacted by the waiting crew. If there
are subsequent dispatches, the
apparatus will NOT respond until there are at least three interior fire fighters
available.
